today

i had a long list of things i needed to do today, bringing Zach to his pedia was not one of them. however, it was the only thing i got to do in the morning because he had asthma attack (again) and we need to nebulize him three times a day. when will his asthma ever go away?

while waiting for our turn at the clinic, i weighed myself because i was very sure i gained weight while on a one-month vacation. and yes i'm right, i am now 185 pounds heavy. i was only 179 end of march. no wonder my clothes are getting tight. i think i got to be really serious now about losing weight.

i did our groceries and was so surprised i paid a total of almost 6K! that amount still doesn't even include the kids' milk. gawd!

i read from sparkpeople that short workouts really count for something, small bits of fitness add up. part of the article says " Lack of time is one of the most common excuses for not having a decent fitness regimen. But do you realize that in the time it might take you to go through your e-mail, you could fit in a good workout? We’re not talking about giving up 60 minutes either; all you need is 10. Forget the "all or nothing" mentality when it comes to exercise. Fitness does not live or die by 60-minute workouts; there is middle ground. Short spurts of exercise, when they accumulate, have been shown to share similar benefits of longer workouts. " One of the suggested activities was going for a power walk after dinner with your spouse or ride bikes with the kids. and i am happy i did just that two hours ago. M and i walked around the compound. i know it's not enough for someone who needs to lose 60 lbs but i believe it's the start of something big :)

i chatted with dearest li'l sis and i'm happy. she and our older sis are hatching a travel plan with me. why not if they shoulder my fare :).
